The XX Nordic Copyright Symposium

Sep 2, 2026 - Sep 4, 2026

The time has come once again for Nordic copyright experts to meet — now for the 20th time. As in previous symposium we will review developments in copyright law across the Nordic countries since our last gathering, and we are particularly pleased, from an Icelandic perspective, that this year we will deepen our shared Nordic understanding by hearing the Faroese perspective on the field.

As always, the conference days will be packed with informative and engaging sessions, reflecting the ever-evolving nature of copyright law and the abundance of issues to explore. The first conference day will be largely devoted to the impact of large language models and similar technologies on copyright, while the second day will focus on the world beyond artificial intelligence — which, after all, still exists.

We will do our utmost to keep the social programme lively and enjoyable and to offer you a slightly different perspective on the capital area than before. Above all, we very much look forward to seeing you all.
